Please visit website for virtual performing art series

Proceeds from artwork sales directly benefit local artists and support the Council's mission to grow arts and culture in Palm Beach County.

At the Cultural Council's home in downtown Lake Worth Beach, 2,500 square feet of flexible gallery space showcases ongoing temporary exhibitions focused on art made in or unique to Palm Beach County. The exhibitions educate the public about art and artists, and provide exposure to artists in Palm Beach County so they can be more successful. The gallery features long exhibitions and each month will also showcase additional, one-person exhibitions.

For the time being, their headquarters will remain closed to the public due to Covid-19. They are working hard to reopen and provide a safe haven for everyone to enjoy local arts and culture.

For all you need to know about the Council's activities and all that we're doing to support the sector on their website, visit palmbeachculture.com/covid-19.

The Museum's permanent collection now consists of more than 8,200 works in five curatorial departments: European, American, Chinese, Contemporary and Photography. Since 1954, many distinguished additions have been made thanks to the endowment Mr. Norton created for the purchase of works of art. They include masterpieces such as Stuart Davis's New York Mural (acquired in 1964), and Jackson Pollock's Night Mist (acquired in 1971).

THE LAKE WORTH PLAYHOUSE

The Lake Worth Playhouse occupies the former Oakley Theatre, the oldest building on the register of the Art Deco Society of Palm Beach County. It was constructed on the wave of a movie mania sweeping the country in the early 1920s. Today, the Playhouse is proud to offer a variety of mainstream and alternative programming, both live and on film.

WORTH AVENUE CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Long over are the old days of a Palm Beach social season that opened in mid-December and snapped shut the day after Washington's birthday. These days, Palm Beach and Worth Avenue are busy with events all year long, some to benefit local charitable organizations, others as a way to celebrate island living--and Worth Avenue--in general. The Association also teams up with other organizations for major style and fashion-oriented events.

Other signature Avenue events include holiday festivities, a pet fashion show (this is Palm Beach), and many other whimsies and diversions.
